The Israelites crossed the Jordan just after Passover in 2489 a.m. They celebrated the first yovel year in 2553 a.m.

The Exodus took place in the year 2448, according to the count brought in Midrash Seder Olam Rabba.  The 40 years in the desert finished in 2488.  After this there were 7 years in which Yehoshua bin-Nun led B'nei Yisrael in conquering the land, ending in 2495.  A further 7 years went in to dividing the land amongst the 12 tribes.  This ends in the year 2502.

2. We see from this that in the year 2503 from the Rosh Hashanah after the birth of Adam HaRishon, which is the 2nd year of creation, they began to count. And they did the year 2510 from creation, which is the 21st year from the time they entered Eretz Yisrael, Shmitah. And they counted 7 Shmitah years and sanctified the 50th year, which was the 64th year from the time they entered Eretz Yisrael.

The Rambam here tells us that they started in the year 2503, but counting from year number 2.  Really, then, the count started in year 2504.  This is implied by the fact that the 1st Shmitah is recorded as the year 2510. 3416-3765 is the period corresponding to the Yovel “week” of Chesed, in which the Beit HaMikdash stood.  The Chesed she’be’Chesed (the 1st “day”), 3416-3455, included the founding of the Great Assembly (HaKnesset HaGedolah), the last remnants of prophecy until the days of Moshiach.

Rabbi Isaac Abravanel claimed that this specific kind of conjunction triggered the birth of the Messiah. When Kepler witnessed this Great Conjunction from December 1603 onwards, he remembered the rabbinic writer Abarbanel referring to an unusual influence which was said to have been attributed to Pisces by Jewish astrologers. According to Rabbi Arbarbanel (1437 - 1508), a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn would portend the birth of the Messiah. This evidence is certainly late but it probably has an old tradition behind it, based perhaps partly on (Numbers 24:17): "there shall come a star out of Jacob, and a sceptre shall rise out of Israel ..." With great excitement, Kepler, probably the only person in 1603 with the necessary knowledge of astronomy, set to work to figure out just how frequently this Great Conjunction would occur. Calculations showed that they figured in similar groupings in 7 B.C. This is verified each year when the gears in most of the great planetaria are turned backwards to show the stars and planets as they were placed nearly 2,000 years ago around the time of Christ’s birth.

This conjunction fits with the story for a few reasons. First, this conjunction happened in the early morning hours, which aligns with the Gospel's description of the Star of Bethlehem as a rising morning star. The Magi also lost sight of the star, before seeing it come to rest in the place where baby Jesus lay in the stable. This could have been the result of the retrograde motion of Jupiter, which means that it appears to change direction in the night sky as Earth's orbit overtakes it. It is interesting to note that about a year after this conjunction of planets, a strong Messianic movement came into being. Josephus, the Jewish historian, records that about this time a rumour went around that God had decided to bring the rule of Roman foreigners to an end and that a sign from heaven had announced the coming of a Jewish King.

In the year 5 B.C., Chinese astronomers noted the appearance of a “Broom Star” that many researchers have interpreted as a comet or nova. "In the first year of (the Emperor) Yuen-yen, in the seventh month, on the day Sin-ouei ( 25 August ) a comet was seen in the region of the sky known as Toung-tsing (beside the Mu of the Gemini). It passed over the Ou-tschouiheou (Gemini), proceeded from the Ho-su (Castor and Pollux) in a northerly direction and then into the group of Thaiouei (tail of Leo)... On the 56th day it disappeared with the Blue Dragon (Scorpio). Altogether it was observed for 63 days."

June 17, 2 BC, the bright planets Venus and Jupiter would have appeared to observers in Babylon to have merged just before setting in the general direction of Bethlehem to the west.

Some scholars think this “star” was a comet, an object traditionally connected with important events in history, such as the birth of kings. Halley's Comet was present in 11 B.C. EUring the latter part of August 11 B.C., Halley's comet appeared in the constellation of Gemini, a little north of Castor and Pollux, The latitude of Bethlehem is 31° 42', and it so happens that 2,000 years ago Castor and Pollux were almost exactly 31° 42' north of what astronomers call the celestial equator. This means that Castor and Pollux in their daily journey across the night sky passed through the zenith of Bethlehem, and, since Halley’s comet came very close to Castor and Bollux, it must also at one time have stood directly over Bethlehem ~ "the place where the young child was".

Caesar's Comet[2] (also Sidus Iulium ("Julian Star"); Caesaris astrum ("Star of Caesar"); Comet Caesar; the Great Comet of 44 BC; numerical designation C/-43 K1) was a seven-day cometary outburst seen in July 44 BC. It was interpreted by Romans as a sign of the deification of recently assassinated dictator, Julius Caesar (100–44 BC).[3] It was perhaps the most famous comet of antiquity.

As a result of the cometary outburst in late July, Caesar's Comet is one of only five comets known to have had a negative absolute magnitude (for a comet, this refers to the apparent magnitude if the comet had been observed at a distance of 1 AU from both the Earth and the Sun[8]) and may have been the brightest daylight comet in recorded history.

At the time of the End of Days, according to the hour of the day, at the time that the sun shines, from the 6th Day, at the time that is ready according to the count of years, of Yovel and Shmitah together, which is רע"ד (Raa'd, 274 in Gematria) from the 6th Day...

This is at 60 years of the 6th millenium...

Shmitah and Yovel fell together in 5727.  The reason that 5727 is called Shmitah, or rather why the latest year of the 19 year cycle is called Shmitah, I will not explain now.  But notice that the Zohar gives a confirmation: It is 274 years from the end of the 6th day, or 6001 - 274 = 5727.  It is 6001 and not 6000, for the Zohar counts using the system of Seder Olam Rabba, which is one year lower than our count.  This can be shown also from the Introduction to the Tikkunei Zohar 4a, wherein the author implies that that the 2nd Beit HaMikdash was destroyed in the year 3828, which accords to the Seder Olam Rabba.

The end of this same passage of the Zohar Chadash makes it clear that it is describing the events surrounding year 60, which as Zohar Vayera 119 tells us, is the Pekidah, a rocky beginning to the Geulah.

It is because the Gematria of the word Yovel is 48.  Therefore, the 47th Yovel, which is the 1st year of the 48th cycle, marks the beginning of Am Yisrael's movement towards the Geulah, whereas the end of the cycle, on the 48th Yovel itself, will bring Am Yisrael's return to its land, with the arrival of Moshiach.

We now stand after this 48th Yovel cycle, and we can see that the events did not materialize as the text has said explicitly.
